About Our School
St Andrew's is a Voluntary Controlled School which was first opend in 1884, and is situated in the north end of Kettering. The original site of the school was off Eskdall Street and behind the shops in Newland Street. In 1960 the school was transferred to ite present position in Grafton Street which up until that time had been occupied by the Central School. The school is accommodated in two Edwardian buildings of some character, with the majority of class bases radiating from a central hall.
The school caters for children between the ages of 3 - 11
(Nursery to year 6).
We have strong links with Saint Andrew's Church. Representatives from the Church are on the Governing Body and assemblies are often led by the Reverend Nick Wills or Margaret Hopkins.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Each individual in our community is on a pilgrimage of growth.
Pupils and staff share the responsibility for developing a Christian
ethos, embodying the values of love, justice and forgiveness.
As we work and play together, we strive to learn to serve God
and to serve one another.
We share a common commitment to enable all to achieve the
maximum of their potential.
